Hello, I am Rose C Jiggens, a Somatic & Family Constellations practitioner. This page is about a weekly Transforming Touch® group which takes place on Zoom.
Transforming Touch® (TEB) is an approach that supports nervous system regulation, reducing the effects of early stress and trauma on our nervous systems. It can be offered in-person, where sessions can include physical touch. Online, nervous system support happens through the qualities of presence, guided visualisation and ‘intentional’ touch.
I offer Transforming Touch® in groups and 1-2-1 sessions, read on to find out more about the weekly groups.
What is Transforming Touch®?
Our nervous system regulation is deeply shaped by our life experiences and relationships—especially those formed in early childhood. Because of this, it’s completely natural for our nervous systems to respond the way they do to the challenges of everyday life. However, it is also possible to build resilience and experience a greater sense of ease, no matter what we’re facing.
This is the core intention of these groups: to support nervous system regulation through shared practice, using Transforming Touch® (TEB) as a gentle and effective approach. Transforming Touch® is a regulation-focused method developed by Austin Attach. Grounded in an understanding of early and developmental trauma, it offers a compassionate pathway toward healing. When offered one-to-one, it can be used as a standalone treatment for complex or developmental trauma. Alternatively, it can serve as one supportive component of a wider healing journey.
These groups might be a good fit for you if:
- You would like to feel more grounded or relaxed, but find that difficult.
- You would like to follow guided meditations, but would benefit from a facilitated group setting.
- You have a sense that your nervous system would benefit from some healing and support.
- You would like to experience a guided nervous system regulating practice.
- You have heard about Transforming Touch® (TEB) and would like to experience it.
- You are over the age of 18 (see below if you want to attend with children).
These groups might not be a good fit for you if:
- You are currently experiencing a crisis, these groups are not equipped for crisis intervention work.
- You need 1-2-1 attention: this is a guided group meditation space with limited opportunities for 1-2-1 interaction.
- Your current experiences would be better served by 1-2-1 therapy: these groups can supplement but not replace therapy.
- You are unable to create a undisturbed, safe or contained space from which to attend the group.
These groups are structured for people aged 18+. If you have children: you may attend with an infant on your lap. Older children may sit in the room engaged in their own activity (e.g. colouring in). Your children may benefit as you cultivate your own nervous system regulation hence they are welcome to be in the room. But please remember this is a space shaped for the needs of adults.
What Happens in These Transforming Touch® Groups?
The main intention of these groups is to offer a frequent and financially accessible space for experiencing Transforming Touch®. The sessions began in September 2025: there may just be a few of us present each session as the group gets started. I aim to grow them to a larger group format (20 – 30 people) and the format is shaped to that end. In support of these aims, here is what happens in a session:
- 30 – 35 minutes of the call, we will be doing the core 7 point Transforming Touch® practice, here is a video describing the 7 point practice>>
- In the remaining time we will do one of the following: an invitation for you to write something in chat, a psychoeducation teaching related to transforming touch®, something attuned to the groups needs at that time.
- Afterward the 7 point finishes you are free to leave: I remain online for the last 10 minutes for questions or extra support needs.
- You can have your camera on or off for the call; some people having cameras on supports a sense of being with others.
- The full group guidelines will be given during the free intake call.
These groups do not contain 1-2-1 therapeutic process work or extensive sharing space. Ad hoc 1-2-1 session spaces (limited availability) are available for regular participants of the group. In 2026 I will be running smaller ongoing closed groups, providing a container for more sharing of individual narratives and tailored therapeutic process work.
How Do I Join a Transforming Touch® Group?
There is an intake process for these groups – a form followed by a free 20 minute Zoom or telephone call with Rose. In the call you can ask questions to establish if these groups are a good fit for your needs. Rose will make enquiries in support of your safety and the culture of the group. Those enquires are:
- The group guidelines will be discussed with you, to check if you are able to work within them.
- Whilst Transforming Touch® aims towards building greater resilience and regulation, along the way it can also surface difficult feelings. If that happens, what resources – either individually or via external support – do you have to draw upon?
Not having resources won’t necessarily exclude you from joining the group, but informed consent requires that you understand the potential risks of taking part in these groups.
