The Somatic Therapy Studio @ Hackney Downs Studios, is a bright and spacious 220 square feet therapy room, in a creative hub along with other small businesses. It was established by Rose C Jiggens to offer a comfortable working space for a range of talk, embodied and somatic therapies. People attending sessions or workshops here will benefit from the following facilities:

• A friendly reception desk with comfortable sofas and toilet facilities if you arrive early for your appointment.
• Frequent exhibitions in the reception area.
• Colourfully decorated and cared for communal spaces.
• Funky vibe: lots of creative small businesses including food, film, fashion, ceramics and barbers.
• All gender toilet facilities.
• The Somatic Therapy Studio has sound insulated walls and double glazing, it is private and contained with limited external noise.
• The window offers a spacious view of sky and trees, an ever changing canvas to weave into your session.
• Considered furnishings with original art works.
• Hackney Downs Studios has a ground level entrance and a double internal flight of stairs.

There is space to sit, lie down, stand up and move around in your session. You can sit on chairs, a sofa, or cushions on the floor. You can decide how near or far you want to sit from your therapist. The lighting is adjustable. The room is furnished with facilities for sensory and creative healing work. If you like to think in pictures, move around, express yourself or stim – you are welcome.
